Hawaii Fire Department personnel responded to a report of a shark attack Wednesday evening in Kiholo Bay.
The victim, a man believed to be in his 40s, was apparently bitten on the forearm by a tiger shark, said Battalion Chief Steve Loyola, who was responding to the report that came in shortly after 6 p.m. He said the man was being transported to North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was not yet aware of the man’s condition.
